Forever or Goodbye
Went out on a limb, grabbed my goal by the rim..
I’ve counted up my Ls, the for sure thing is never a sure win.
And we all move on as sure as the wind..
But let’s start what took years to begin.
Toe to toe with the best of them
lost to a mess of em, like him.
But at the end of the day you come back to the “friend”
Maybe just maybe, its my go at it.
I’vee been practicing, I’d be really good at it.
We’d be real good together, our love has held shelter
through the stormiest of weather.
But you are my sunshine, my only sunshine.
You make me happy, when skies are grey.
You’ll never know dear how much I love you.
I won’t let anyone take my sunshine away..
Cause I got through times when I needed someone,
and you were always by my side.
Feelings are hard to hide, even harder to die..
It’s hard to stay grounded when love has you high
and you can’t feel down when your heart flies in the sky…
And its even harder to love when the feelings aren’t right..
or right on time, just another “she’s gone” rhyme..
So my words in this context are the last time..
Cause my inspiration could be gained or lost…..
